Mamie Thomas

Graveside services for Mrs. Mamie Leonna Parker Thomas will be held Thursday at 10am at Cedarlawn Cemetery in Scooba.
Mrs. Thomas, 92, of Scooba, passed away Monday at Mississippi Care Center in DeKalb.
She and her husband Wallace owned a general mercantile in Scooba and she was the Dorm Mother at the girl's dormitory at East MS Community College, a position she held for many years.
She and her husband were members of a community Bar B Que club whereby different families would cook each week. Mrs. Thomas was a member of Scooba United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her brother Bob Parker and sister Janece Montgomery.
Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Ethel Parker; husband Wallace Thomas; sisters Janell McArthur, Bertie Sharp, Betty Parker and brother Gilbert Parker.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to Scooba United Methodist Church.
