Margaret Louise Barber

Services for Margaret Louise Barber will be held Tuesday at 11am at Webb Funeral Home with Dr. Raymon Leake officiating. Burial will be in the Burwell Family Cemetery.

Miss Barber, 88, of Meridian, was born April 16, 1925 and died February 8, 2014 at Queen City Nursing Center. She was an honors graduate of Meridian High School. She was a former employee of Bell South Telephone Company and Meyer and Rosenbaum Insurance, at which time she was secretary to Al Rosenbaum, former Mayor of Meridian. She later worked as office manager at General Adjustment Bureau until her retirement. Margaret was a member of First Baptist Church. She dedicated her life to Jesus Christ and lived her life to worship him.

Survivors include her niece, Amy Barber of Dallas, Texas sister in law, Betty Keyes Barber of Meridian cousins, Doris C. Glisson and her daughters Mary Virginia Rickles and Terry Baxter of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Martha Scarbrough of Bessemer, Ala. other cousins, Linda Carol Cushing of Greenville, S.C. and Cecil Lamar Jones of Meridian.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Erleen Burwell Barber and Oliver Vincent Barber brother, William Vince Barber and a sister, Olive Barber.
