Marjorie Bates Logan

Graveside services for Mrs. Marjorie Bates Logan will be held Wednesday at 11 am at Magnolia Cemetery with Dr. Rhett G. Payne, III officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Logan, 88, of Meridian, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Bedford Care Center. She was born in DLo, Mississippi. She entered the Masonic Home in Meridian as a young child and attended Meridian Public Schools. She graduated from Mississippi State College for Women with a degree in Secretarial Science. Mrs. Logan was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her son, Keith Logan Elizabeth daughters, Robin Logan and Kim Dandeneau Jim grandchildren, Angela Jones Phillip, Matthew Hutchinson Kerry, Clayton Logan Courtney great grandchildren, Logan and Cooper Jones, and Joseph and Anna Claire Hutchinson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Edgar and Grace Morgan Bates her husband, Robert O. Logan sister, Otheal Bates Thames and brother, Cecil Ray Bates.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the First Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 905 23rd Avenue, Meridian, MS 39301. The family wishes to express deep appreciation to the caregivers at Bedford Care Center and Quality Care Hospice.
