Martha Alois Weeks

Services for Mrs. Martha Alois Weeks will be held Tuesday at 11 am at Webb Chapel with Rev. Jim Williams officiating. Burial will be in Jones Chapel Church of God Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Weeks was born in Stonewall, Miss. May 25, 1912 and went to be with the Lord Sunday, September 09, 2012 at Rush Hospital. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother to all of her immediate and extended family. She studied and became a nurse after age 50 and worked in the cardiac intensive care unit at Rush Hospital for many years until her retirement. Alois loved her church and served in many leadership roles throughout her lifetime, including having taught various Sunday school classes to different age groups for over 50 years.

She is survived by two daughters, Jolene Finlay Gordon of Monterey, Louisiana, and Carolyn White Jack of Birmingham, Alabama four grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Addison and Kissie McLemore her husband, Varney P. Weeks grandson, Ricky Finlay and several brothers and sisters.

The family requests memorials be made to the American Heart Association.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 9am until service time at the funeral home.
