Ms. Mary Elizabeth "Majie" Rand Dallas, 75, of Cumming, GA, passed away Friday, June Tuesday, June 15, 2018. Majie was born March 12, 1943 in Meridian, MS to the late Charles Lionel Rand, Sr. and Agnes Elizabeth (Mosby) Rand. She attended Saint Aloysius Catholic School, Meridian High School, Meridian Junior College, and the University of Southern MS, where she earned a degree in Education. In 1967, she married Wilbert Edwin Dallas of House, MS. They moved to the Atlanta, GA area where they had three children. In 1994, she moved to Cumming, GA. She shared her love of teaching and reading with students at several schools in MS and GA, and in later years through her work at a bookstore. She will be lovingly remembered as a woman of honesty and integrity, with a deep devotion and love for her family.

She is survived by her brothers Charles Lionel Rand, Jr. (Jane) of Monroe, LA, George Rand (Brenda) of Slidell, LA, and Burnham Rand (Jan) of Fort Smith, AR; son, Doug Dallas (Heather) of Auburn, AL; daughters Carol Dallas Czap (Jimmy) of Nashville, TN and Susan Dallas Snidow (Chad) of Cumming, GA; grandchildren Ashlyn, Lauren, and John David Dallas of Auburn, AL, Everett Czap of Nashville, TN, and Clay, Tate, and Blake Snidow of Cumming, GA.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church on Saturday, June 30th at 10 am with interment at Semmes Cemetery in Meridian, MS.
