A memorial service will be held for Mary E. Watt-Brown Friday, November 13, 2020, 2:00 p.m., at James F. Webb Funeral Home.
On Tuesday, November 10, 2020, Mary made her transformation from this earth to the loving arms of her Heavenly Father at the age of 91 years.
Mary was born April 18, 1929 in Artesia, MS. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Cecille Cade Watt.
Mary worked with S.H. Kress many years and retired from Rush Hospital after 20 plus years. She was a lifetime member of Marion United Methodist Church and a member of the UMC Women’s Group.
She was very family oriented, and the The Champion Domino player of the family. She loved reading and studying her bible, Psalm 91 was her favorite. She was the true patriarch of the family.
She is survived by her two children David Brown and Donna Currie (Rodney, her favorite son-in-law); sister, Cecille McNaughten; sister-in-law, Melva Watt; grandchildren, Michelle Roberts (Benjamin), Shaun Currie, Andy Currie, and Levi Woodard; great grandchildren, Brooklynn Jordyn Roberts and Lillyan Currie; and Kimbrell and Watt nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Brown of York, AL; sister, Bobbye Kimbrell; and brother, Randy Watt of Gulfport, MS.
In lieu of flowers, Mary would want all memorial gifts sent to Marion United Methodist Church.
