Services for Mrs. Mary Hood will be held on Monday, December 24, 2018 at James F. Webb Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Chuck Overby officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 23, 2018 from 5 - 7 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home. Interment will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Hood, 83, of Meridian, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2018 at Queen City Nursing Facility. She was a retired waitress after having worked at the Red Hot Truck Stop and others for over 25 years. She was born on February 22, 1935 to James Minor O'Neal and Jinnie Mae in Arkabutler, Mississippi.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Hood; Son,Travis Willard; Daughters, Rhonda Spencer and Patricia Gore; Sister, Hildred Raney; Brother, Luther O'Neal; Granddaughters, Kaye McCarter, Shawna Gentry, and Gayle Bundrum; Grandsons, Joshua Willard, Alan Spencer Jr., and Shane Willard; Great Grandchildren, B.J. and Katlyn McCarter; 12 Great Great Grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
