Mrs. Mary Jewel Wood Hood

Services for Mrs. Mary Jewel Wood Hood will be held on Friday, July 16, 2010 at 10:00 am at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel to be followed by Graveside services in Amory, MS with Rev. Jimmy McFadder and Rev. Wayne Edward officiating. Interment will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Amory, MS. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements in Meridian and Pickles Funeral Home will be in charge of services in Amory.

Mrs. Hood, age 97, passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Bedford Care in Marion, MS. She was a retired seamstress with Amory Garments where she had worked for 40 years. While living in Meridian she attended Midway Baptist Church and while in Amory she was a member of First Baptist Church of Amory.
She is survived by a Daughter, Doris Fields and her husband Billy Grandchildren, Scott Farrell and his wife Cindy, Michelle Ames and her husband John, Jeffrey Hood and his wife Kim, Bradley Hood, Marsha Ramia and her husband Joe, Michael Fields and his wife Elizabeth, and Rebecca Cummins and her husband Jeremy 21 Great Grandchildren 1 Great Great Grandchild Two Sisters, Maria Beachum of Tupelo, MS and Evelyn Randle of Nacogdoches, TX and one brother, Richard Wood and his wife Irene of Amory, MS and many nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents, Audley Mark Wood and Roxie Lana McCullough Wood Husband, Halbert Ray Hood Son, James Hood Brothers, Carl Wood, Audley Wood, Ralph Wood, Milton Wood, Robert Wood, Wallace Wood, and D.C. Wood and by one daughter, Louise Farrell.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 16, 2010 at Webb Funeral Home from 9 10 am then at Pickles Funeral Home in Amory from 6 7pm.
