Graveside Services celebrating the life of Manning Pharis will be held at Magnolia Cemetery in Meridian, December 17th at 10:00 a.m. with David Greer, Bro. Jack Kern, and Cheryl Herrington officiating.
Mrs. Pharis, 96, passed away December 6, 2022, at her home. She was a lifelong resident of Meridian, a graduate of Meridian High and Meridian Jr. College. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. A homemaker who enjoyed cooking, sewing and taking care of her plants and ferns. In later years she loved make chicken and dumplings for her great grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter Lindy Pharis, grandchildren Pharis Godfrey and his wife Jennifer of Missouri City, TX. and Dr. Karah Coker and her husband John of Athens, TX. Special son in law Bill Godfrey and his wife Kay of Meridian. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Bryce and Tatum Godfrey and Allie, Landon and Peyton Coker.
She is preceded in death by her husband Louis and daughters Cindy Pharis and Mendy Pharis Godfrey; her parents Mary Lou and John Manning Chalk; her sisters Louise Marie Graves and Sara Elizabeth Deweese.
