Maudine Peavy

Graveside services for Mrs. Maudine Peavy will be held Thursday at 12 noon at Meehan Cemetery. Rev. John Wesley Leek will be officiating. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Peavy, 84, of the Meehan Community, passed away Monday at her residence.

She will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed working in her garden and fishing.

She is survived by her children Joey Alsup (Cathy), Dickie Alsup (Sherry), Chuck Alsup (Tina), Pam Freeman (Paul Pinkerton), Cindy Alsup and Scottie Peavy (Dana); grandchildren Ben Alsup (Andrea), Julie Jones (Andy), Amy McMillian (Kenny), Chris Freeman (Amy), Justin Freeman (Katelyn), Nick Alsup (Allie), Ashley Loper (Bud), Michael Peavy Jr. (Sydney), Dana Alsup, Kim Alsup, Dustin Alsup, Derick Reid, Abbie Thompson (Nathan), Jamie Thompson (David) and Kim Brown (Lewis).

Mrs. Peavy is also survived by a host of great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Eli and Eula Cagle; husband Terry Peavy; son Dave Alsup and daughter Teresa "Tee" Mills.

Pallbearers will be Ben Alsup, Chris Freeman, Justin Freeman, Dustin Alsup, Michael Peavy Jr., Nick Alsup, Derick Reid, Chris Ivey, Colt Lester and Caleb Rushing.

Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5pm to 8pm at the funeral home.
