Milton L. Pace

Graveside services for Milton Pace will be held Friday, November 17, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery, with his son, Bro. Scott Pace, officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 16, from 5:00-7:30 p.m. at Webb & Stephens – North.

Mr. Pace, age 90, formerly of Meridian, passed away November 11 in Brandon.

Milton was born and raised in Kemper County, Mississippi, and moved to Meridian after high school. He began his career at Carden Refrigeration, and eventually went to work with Western Auto, where he worked for twenty-nine years. After Western Auto closed, he began driving for PepsiCo Food Service, retiring in 1995. He met the love of his life, Joyce Covington, in February of 1952, marrying her in June of that same year and they went on to raise three children together. Milton will be remembered as a man of faith and integrity, who was always willing to help anyone in need and never expected anything in return. His greatest blessing, though, was the family he cherished, whose hearts ache with his absence, but are relieved to know they will see him again one day.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Joyce C. Pace; daughter, Connie Pace, of Pearl, MS, and son, Milton Scott Pace (Cindi), of Granbury, TX; brother, Jack Pace (Mary Lou), of Kemper County, MS; grandchildren, Nathan Bateman, of AL, Sarah Pace, of Abilene, TX and Micah Pace (Kaci), of Minneapolis, MN; great-granddaughters, Kaylie and Victoria Lam of Meridian.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Evelyn Maurine Pace Bateman, his parents, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Pallbearers will be Charlie Smith, Greg Slay, Dean Toldbird, George Ranager and Wade Pace. Lynwood Clayton will serve as honorary pallbearer.
