Morris Roland "Skillet" Robinson

     Morris Roland “Skillet” Robinson, Jr., 62, passed away June 25, 2024, in Meridian, Mississippi.

     He was born to Morris Roland Robinson, Sr. and JoAn (File) John on September 27, 1961, in Meridian, Mississippi.  He loved hunting, fishing, and was an avid NASCAR fan.  He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. 

     Skillet is survived by his daughter, Crystal Gilley (Brandon); son, Morris Roland (Trey) Robinson, III; his mother, JoAn John; sisters, Debbie Barnes, Kim Lawrence (David), and Pam Kinser (Kelley); brother, Billy John (Tracy); two granddaughters, Savannah and Scarlett Robinson; three grandsons, Aden, Kingston, and Roland Gilley; great grandson, Grayson Brogan; nieces and nephews, Leslie, Josh, and Derek; along with his beloved Pitbull, Toke, who was his constant companion.

    He was preceded in death by his father, Morris Roland Robinson, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Jesse and Rhoda Ellen Robinson; and maternal grandparents, Elbert and Alyne (Rawson) Denham.

     Celebration of Life Services will be held on Monday, July 1, 2024, at Webb & Stephens Funeral Homes-North, beginning at 11:30 am, with Rev. Cheryl Farr officiating.  There will be a short visitation 30 minutes prior to the services.

     In lieu of flowers, the family requests for donations to be made in Skillet’s honor to your favorite charity.
