Nelda Scitzs Churylo

Nelda Lee Scitzs Churylo, 76, from Collinsville, MS, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, March 26, 2023.  She was born on July 17, 1946 to Ollie and Ethel Scitzs in Meridian, MS.  Nelda spent her days taking care of her family and her clients at her beauty shop.

Nelda was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie and Ethel Scitzs and an infant baby, Angel Churylo.   She is survived by her husband, Joe Churylo, of 60 years of marriage.  She had two children Scott Churylo (Mary) and Hope Avera (Danny) both from Hickory, MS.   She also had four grandchildren, Drew Avera (Kim) from Norfolk, VA, Ben Avera (Ashley), from Chunky, MS, Aaren Avera of Atlanta, GA, and Joey Churylo of Hickory, MS.  Additionally, Nelda had three great grandchildren, Chloe and Lucy Avera of Norfolk, VA, and Colton Avera from Chunky, MS.

Nelda will be buried at Newton County Veterans Cemetery.  Nelda will be greatly missed by her bother her family and friends.
