Nicholas Scott "Scooter" Wood

     Nicholas Scott “Scooter” Wood, 40, of Quitman, Mississippi, passed away unexpectedly the morning of Wednesday, June 26, 2024.

     Scott was born to Pamela (Means) Adams on January 3, 1984, in Meridian, Mississippi. He had a multitude of talents. After high school, he enrolled and graduated from Meridian Community College with an associate's degree in Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machining. 

     He loved family, the outdoors, and playing music. Scott left an impact on everyone who knew him and was loved by so many. His departure from this life comes as a great shock and a deep wound, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

     Scott is survived by his parents, Pam and Hershell Adams; grandmother, Betty Means; brothers, Brooks (Laurie) Wood, Jacob Adams, Dustin (Leslie) Wood, Brook (Candice) Adams; sister, Jennifer (Ray) Clayton; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and cousins; along with his beloved partner, Ginger Loper and her son, Cade.

     A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at Elim Baptist Church, located at 159 County Road 660 in Quitman, on Saturday, July 6, 2024, beginning at 10:30am. Family and friends are all invited to come and share their love for and memories of Scott.

     The staff of Webb & Stephens Funeral Homes-North is grateful for the opportunity to honor Scott’s life and his memory and to serve his family during this time.
