Nina Joyce Southward

     Nina Joyce Southward, 79, passed peacefully the early morning hours of May 6, 2024, at Anderson Regional Medical Center.

     Joyce was born to Hartsell Edward and Helen Agnes (Minor) Kyle in Meridian, Mississippi on April 2, 1945.  She will be remembered as a sweet loving mother, sister and a true Southern lady.  Joyce was a wonderful homemaker, famous for her cornbread and enjoyed listening to the birds sing their songs.  

     Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Johnny Southward.

     She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Ann Southward; her son, John Gregory Southward; sister, Marilyn Dearman (Perry); and one granddaughter, Amber Southward.

     Graveside services are scheduled for Wednesday, May 8, 2024, beginning at 2:00 pm, with a visitation scheduled thirty minutes prior to the service.   The graveside service will take place at Causeyville Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Josh Beckman officiating.

     In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Joyce’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
