Nora Williams

Funeral services for Nora Lee Williams will be Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Stephens Funeral Home in Meridian, with interment to follow at Bucatunna Baptist Church Cemetery, in Snell. Rev. Thomas A. Boykin will be officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Williams, 95, died Sunday, November 24, 2019 at her residence in Meridian.

Nora Lee loved the Lord and her legacy of love and prayer for others will be ever remembered. She enjoyed traveling, going all over the country in her camper. Hosting family functions, feeding and entertaining with an attitude of the more the merrier, was a favorite pleasure. She was also a huge John Wayne fan and was extremely proud to be a military spouse.

She is survived by her son, Bobby Joe Williams (Martha) and a daughter Betty Sue Smith (Allen); 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a sister, Laura Lucille Davidson; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as a special friend Dwight Berner.

Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her parents Angus and Laura Dickerson; her husband Clifford L. Williams; sons Lowell F. Williams and Robert L. Williams; 1 brother and 3 sisters.

The family would like to express their heart felt thanks to Nora’s caregivers, Gloria Lafferty, Elizabeth Smith, Kathy Rollins, and Patti Niswender.
