Oliver Bruce Harper

     Oliver Bruce Harper, 70, of Meridian, passed away the evening of June 12, 2024, at home surrounded by his loved ones.

     Bruce was born to Willie Roe and Bessie Louise (Pierce) Harper on August 25, 1953, in Meridian.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman, who loved gardening and was known to have a “green thumb” when it came to growing his vegetables.

     He is survived by his sons, Jeremy Harper and his wife Rebecca, and Jason Harper, and his wife Anne; along with four grandchildren, Callie Harper, Monroe Harper, Destiny Fuller and Brandon Fuller; and a legacy of five great grands, Petyn Harper, Casen Lucas, Blakely Fuller, Paxton Oliver Wilkinson, and “one on the way” Baby girl Lucas.

     Bruce is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 50 years, Peggy Carolyn Hollingsworth Harper; granddaughter, Natalee Nicole Harper; grandson, Camron Fuller; and sisters, Dale Jones and Addie Mae Moore.

     A memorial service for Bruce will be planned at a later date by his family.
