Services for Opal Raley Lowery will be held Saturday at 2 pm at Webb Funeral Home Chapel with David Chrestman officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Lowery, 82, of Meridian, died Thursday, January 13, 2011 at her home surrounded by family and friends. She was as active member of the congregation of Jehovahs Witnesses in Meridian. She married Wilton Lowery in 1954. They worked together at East Mississippi State Hospital for over thirty years in foodservice.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Wilton Lowery two children, Sheri Paul and husband Richard of Meridian, and Jason Lowery and wife Angela of Batesville four grandchildren, Chris and Emily Paul of Meridian, and Amelia and Olivia Lowery of Batesville three brothers, Bob Raley of Anza, California, Jerald Raley of Ferriday, Louisiana, and Ike Raley of Mize two sisters, Katherine Morgan of Bailey, and Patricia Ingle of Magee and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Brady and Maudie Raley two sisters, Blanche Heindl and Euleen Joyner and two brothers, Lavelle and Bud Raley.

Visitation will be Saturday from 12 2 pm at the funeral home.
