Services for Otis Earl Glaspie will be held Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 11 AM at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church in Scooba with Rev. Marcus Lawrence officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Otis Earl Glaspie was born November 7, 1949 to the late Dink Glaspie in Scooba, MS. He was the fourth of five siblings. Three of his brothers, Charlie C., George Edward and John C. Glaspie preceded him in death.
He confessed hope in Christ at an early age and united with Mt. Ararat Baptist Church. In 1971, he united in holy matrimony to Dorothy Ann Avery. During their 20 year union, five children were born.
Our Lord and Savior called him home on Friday, February 10, 2017 at his home in Scooba, MS.
While on his journey, he leaves to cherish six devoted children; Blanche Glaspie, Catina Glaspie of Scooba, MS, Sherman Glaspie of DeKalb, MS, Shermond (Tamarq) Glaspie of Porterville,MS, Anitra (Darrien) Clayton of Porterville, MS, and Adrian Glaspie of Emelle, AL; 15 grandchildren; One brother, William "James" Glaspie of Rockford, IL; Two aunts, Mary Nealy of Scooba,MS and Winnie Allen of Starkville, MS and A special friend, Clara Neal; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 PM at James F. Webb Funeral Home.
