Ouida Sims

Funeral services for Mrs. Ouida Davis Sims will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 11:30 am at Poplar Springs United Methodist Church with Rev. Chuck Meador officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 10 - 11:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Sims, 84, of Meridian, passed away on June 27, 2016 at Anderson Regional Medical Center.
She is survived by her husband, Bobby G. Sims; Daughters, Suzanne Lee (Barry) and Sophia Hudson (David); Son, Stacy Sims (Janie); Grandsons, Beck Sims, Houston Sims, and Alex Hudson; Sister, Choxi Brown; and she was affectionately known as "Mama" Ouida by countless close friends and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Barry Lee, David Hudson, Benji Brown, C.B. Hales, Clinton Hales, Beck Sims and Ashley Brooks.
She was preceded by her parents, John Robert and Lucy Katherine Davis; and a brother, William "Bill" Davis.
Memorials may be made to Poplar Springs United Methodist Church.
