Mrs. Ouida B. Grace Weir

Services for Mrs. Ouida B. Grace Weir will be held on Monday, February 8, 2016 at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel, at 1:00 pm, with Rev. Chuck Meador officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday from 11 - 1pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery.

Mrs. Weir, of Meridian, passed away on February 3, 2016 at the Christa House. Mrs. Weir was born on August 30, 1923 in Lauderdale County to John and Mary Ballinger. She married Charlie Mack Grace and they had one son. After Charlie passed away, Ouida married Tom Weir and although they had no children together, she loved Tom's children and treated them as her own. Mrs. Weir was an active member of Poplar Springs Drive United Methodist Church for more than 50 years. She was a loyal employee of South Central Bell Telephone Company for 37 1/2 years, where she was known and loved by all who met her. She enjoyed quite a few hobbies and was a collector of many things, including Lenton Glass and stamps.

She is survived by her Son, Johnny Grace; Two Grandsons, Steven Douglas Grace (Shawnda) and John William Grace; One Great Granddaughter, Anna Claire Grace; Step children, Dixie Smith (Rick), Linda Enegeren (Phil), and Richard Weir (Linda); Sister, Rachel Robinson; and a host of Grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her first husband, Charlie Grace; her second husband, Tom Weir; parents, John and Mary Ballinger; and a sister, Sarah Perritt.

Pallbearers are Hardie Perritt, Lee Robinson, Charles Snodgrass, Randy Calvert, and Andrew Post.
