Pauline Reid

Funeral services for Mrs. Pauline Townsend Reid will be held Tuesday at 11am in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Concord United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Bro. Donald Gentry will be officiating. Stephens Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
Mrs. Reid,84, of Meridian, passed away Saturday at her residence.
She was retired from Cantey Paints where she served as a retail clerk.
Mrs. Reid will be remembered as a lady with a big heart for people and great sense of humor. She never met a stranger and if she saw someone in need, she tried to provide help. Mrs. Reid was a member of a large family but she is considered the "glue" that held everyone together.
Survivors include her children Peggy Marie Burroughs, Samuel Edward Reid Jr. and wife Bui Thi, Linda Smith and Cecil Reid and wife Sissy. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, three brothers, one sister and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Verna Mae Townsend; husband Samuel Edward Reid Sr.; son Royce Eugene Reid, two brothers and two sisters.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
