Peggy Sue Perrin, 98, of Trinity, Alabama, passed away the early afternoon hours of Monday, December 16, 2024, at NHC Healthcare of Moulton, surrounded by her loved ones.
Peggy Sue was born to John C. and Rosa Idella (Summerford) Burns on September 21, 1926, in Falkville, Alabama. Peggy Sue married the love of her life, Johnny Rill Perrin, and they remained together for over 50 years until his passing on April 21, 2010. Johnny’s job with the railroad brought their family to Meridian, where Peggy Sue tended to their home and their two children, Annette and Dwight.
Peggy Sue will be remembered as being a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother. She was devoted Christian woman and a true Southern lady. She was a great homemaker and excellent cook, known for her wonderful homemade pies. Each year she would make her daughter a white chocolate cake for her birthday, as well as the grandchildren’s birthday cakes until she became unable to due to her health. Peggy Sue will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Peggy Sue is survived by her daughter, Annette Clark and her husband, Durvan; her grandsons, Wayne Byrne (Beth), Christopher Byrne, and Dustin Perrin (Melanie); along with her four beloved great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John C. and Rosa Idella Burns; her husband, Johnny Rill Perrin; her brothers, Elvis O. Burns, Olon Burns, J.D. Burns; her sisters, Freeda M. Payne, Reba L. Graden, and Flora O. Garner; and her son, Dwight Lynn Perrin.
Visitation for Peggy Sue will be held on Saturday, December 21st from 1:30-3pm at Webb & Stephens Funeral Homes-North. Graveside Services will immediately follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery, with Bro. Mike Rogers officiating the service.
