Peggy Idelia Sellers

Funeral services for Mrs. Peggy Idelia Sellers will be held Thursday, July 13, 2023 at 1:30 pm at Webb & Stephens – North, with Bro. Clay Chancelor officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:30-1:30 p.m. prior to service. Burial will follow at Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Sellers, 89, of Meridian, passed away Monday, July 10, 2023, at her home.

Mrs. Peggy worked for Meridian Manufacturing for 20 years. After this, she worked from home as a seamstress, making wedding gowns, dance costumes, pageant dresses and many other styles of clothing. She also enjoyed her hobbies of crafts and floral arrangements.

Early in her life, Mrs. Peggy became a member of Carmel Baptist Church. Later, she moved her membership to Mount Zion Baptist Church.

Mrs. Peggy’s greatest joy was spending time with her husband, Horrie, along with her family and friends.

Peggy is survived by her sons, David Sellers, Monty Sellers (Vickey), Kenny Sellers and Rusty Sellers (Polly) and daughter, Diann Pearson; grandchildren, Christie Benton (David), Kimberly Herrin (Joey), Thea Jenkins (Brian), Felisa Cook (Ron), Melissa Jarvis and Adam Sellers (Michelle), as well as step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Horrie W. Sellers; parents, Thomas Leroy Milstead and Penny Elizabeth Barnes; son-in-law, Bobby Pearson; siblings, Henrietta Gibson (Elbert), Edna Stogner (John), Elsie Dipillo, Deanie Welch, Tommy Milstead (Earnastine), Myrtle Sones (Junior), Jelly Milstead and Jerry Milstead.

Pallbearers will be Monty Sellers, Rusty Sellers, Adam Sellers, Brian Jenkins, Eric James and Ryan James. Honorary pallbearers will be David Sellers and Kenny Sellers.
