Ralph Lamar Morris
Graveside services for Mr. Ralph Lamar Morris will be held Wednesday at 10:30 am at Magnolia Cemetery with Bro. Ryan Moore officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Morris, 87, of Daleville, died Sunday, March 1, 2015 at the Veterans Nursing Home in Kosciusko. He was an avid horseman, participating and judging local horse shows and was a leader in the 4H program. He was also a gifted artist and published many cartoons for the Southern Horseman Magazine. He was a retired engineer with the City of Meridian and served in the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his son, David J. Morris and wife Cindy; granddaughter, Michelle Flanagan and husband Zach; and special friends, Roberta Gates and Martha Sanderford and her daughters, Margaret Carter, Marion Maddox, and Melissa Kelly.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Morris; parents, Joseph A. and Ruth Morris; a brother, Joseph A. Morris, Jr.; and three infants.
Pallbearers will be Butch Carter, Charles Downey, Randy Fisher, Zach Flanagan, Robert Pearson, and Richard Young. Honorary pallbearers will be Bo Bosarge, Bobby Gibson, Red Kent, and Paul Rutledge.
The family would like to thank the staff at the VA Nursing Home in Kosciusko for their exemplary care while Ralph was there.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7 pm at the funeral home.
