Services for Rebecca Adams Leon will be held Tuesday, May 23, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Scooba Presbyterian Church with Rev. Adrian Feldman Dannhauser officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Lawn Cemetery with Bro. Justin Arnold officiating. Webb & Stephens Funeral Home-DeKalb is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
The family will receive friends an hour prior to service time at the church.
Mrs. Rebecca, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend went to be with her Lord and Savior in the early morning hours of Saturday, May 20th. Welcoming her home were husband, daughter, parents, sisters and brother, and friends.
Rebecca Adams Leon was born in Scooba, MS to Luten and Sara Adams on February 22, 1930. Becky graduated from EMJC with a business degree. She worked in the business office at EMJC where she met the love of her life. They enjoyed entertaining friends and family with great barbeques and fish fries. They did many projects together, such as building and working in the garden.
Becky was a member of Scooba Presbyterian Church, where she adored attending. She enjoyed the women of the church meetings, and anything else she could do to help at the church.
She also loved to have afternoon coffee with her best friend, Betty Baty and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.
She is survived by daughters, Barbara Leon (Yoram Kinberg) of Tucson, AZ and Becky Feldman (David) of Newton, MS; grandchildren, Lynn Goggans of Tucson, AZ, Adrian Dannhauser (Jess) of New York, NY, Brett Feldman (Sara) of Brandon, MS, Blake Feldman of Jackson, MS, Britten Feldman of Houston, TX, Jay Woodfin (Libby) of Kathleen, GA, Kim Berry of Yarmouth, ME, Leigh Ann Miller of Brandon, MS, and Mary Margaret McClure Ozment (Chris) of Epes, AL; great-grandchildren, Matt Miller of Manchester, CN, Jake Miller (Amber) of Brandon, MS, Sara McIngvale of Deep River, CT, Jill Berry of Yarmouth, ME, Seth Woodfin (Cassie) of Lynchburg, VA, Gabe Woodfin of Gulf Shores, AL, Calaway Dannhauser of New York, NY, Lila Feldman of Brandon, MS, Adeline Feldman of Brandon, MS, Kristen Paulding (Jamie) of Stuart FL, Logan Kozlow (Hunter) of Louisville, MS, and Cole Bennett of Kathleen, GA; and great great grandchildren, Maylee Miller, Reed and Marlaina Paulding, and Carter Kozlow.
She is preceded in death by the love of her life, Thomas Leon; daughter, Paula L. McClure; parents, John Luten and Sara Ann Smith Adams; sisters, Alice Clark and Ruth Adams; and brother, Richard W. Adams.
Pallbearers will include Blake Feldman, Brett Feldman, Britten Feldman, Jake Miller, John Harwell, and Jimmy Flemming. Honorary pallbearer will be David Feldman.
