Rev. Heath

Services for Rev. Herman L. Heath will be held Thursday, at 11:30 a.m., at College Park United Methodist Church with Rev. Kenneth Owen officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Rev. Heath, 87, of Meridian, died Monday, March 18, 2013, at Anderson Regional Medical Center. He graduated from Cordova High School in 1943. He earned his bachelor of arts degree from Milsaps College in 1959, and a masters of divinity degree from Emory University in 1962. Rev. Heath has served in numerous churches in Mississippi and Georgia. He was a member of the Mississippi Annual Conference of United Methodist Churches for over 50 years.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce P. Heath halfsister, Joyce Harris of Montgomery, Ala. and, numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, T.H. Heath and Lillian L. Lawrence.

Pallbearers will be Edward Holyfield, Chase Bedwell, Junior Bedwell, Jerry Ellis Walker, Ralph Morgan, and Michael Banta.

Honorary pallbearers are the ministers of UMC.
