Services for Richard David Dick Fulton will be held Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Webb Chapel with Rev. Kenny McGill and Rev. Jerry Zgarba officiating. Burial will be at Brooksville City Cemetery in Brooksville MS at 4:00 pm. James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Fulton, 84, of Meridian, long time resident of Brooksville, MS, died Sunday, May 9, 2010 at the The Specialty Hospital of Meridian.
A proud Veteran of WWII, he served as a medical corpsman with the US Navy in Pacific Theater. Mr. Fulton most recently attended Pleasant Hill UMC in the Zero Community. He served as a Baptist lay speaker for many years and took every opportunity to witness for Christ up until his last day. He had a charismatic smile that touched the life of everyone he came in contact with. He loved his Lord and Master and his family.
Survivors include His wife of 64 years Alwee Williams Fulton, Daughter Jessie Bonner, Son in Law Rusty Bonner, Daughter Mamie Brown, Son in Law Charlie Brown, Son Robert Fulton, Daughter in law Jan Fulton, Grandchildren David Bonner, Chuck Brown and wife, Melanie April Tucker and husband, Matt. A special young friend, Kristen Fisher. Great grandchildren: Brett, Cody and Hayden Bonner Madeleine, Olivia, and Nina Catherine Brown Bryce Tucker. Sister Carolyn Proctor of Texas, Brother Arthur Fulton of North Carolina, Brother Elmer Fulton of Florida, Sister in Law Jewel Fulton of Starkville, MS Sister Dorothy Saunders of Virginia, Sister Bettie Neubel of Maryland, Sister in law Dorothy Fulton of Texas
He was preceded in death by brothers Phillip, Bobby, Paul, Thomas Edwin, and Allen Fulton. Two Sons Charles David and John Harold Fulton.
Pall Bearers will be David Bonner, Chuck Brown, Matt Tucker, Sebe Brown, Chris Brown, Ronnie Durham, Randy Fisher, and Dave Holley. Honorary Pall bearers will be Gavin Fisher, Walter Perrigen, Frankie Proctor, and John Messer.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to be made to the Brooksville Cemetery Fund or Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Building Fund.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5pm to 8 pm at Webb Funeral Home.
