Richard Leon Pickard, 72, of Collinsville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving children.
Richard was born to Robert Hurrell and Dorothy Tempest (Minchew) Pickard on August 23, 1952, at their home in Meridian. He was a 1970 graduate of Southeast High School in Meridian. Richard was a mechanic by trade for about 55 years. He enjoyed doing upholstery, building his Hot Rods, and fishing.
Left to cherish his memories are his children, daughter, Kelly Pickard and son, Will Pickard and his wife, Christina, all of Collinsville; grandchildren, Kaylyn Dearman, Lynsey Dearman, McKensey Dearman, Adriannah Bufkin, and Wesley Lizanna; sisters, Jeanette Wilson, Louise Freeman, Gladys Davenport (Bill), and Barbara Graham (Don); along with a host of great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Dorothy Pickard; his wife, Phyllis Brown Pickard; and his brother, Arnold Pickard.
Visitation for Richard will be held on Wednesday, January 8th, from 1-2 pm at Webb & Stephens Funeral Homes-North.
Graveside Services will be held in the Brown Family Cemetery following the visitation, with Bro. Michael Pogue officiating the service.
Serving as Pallbearers for Richard’s service will be Andy Jenkins, Eddie Davenport, Kenny Graham, Brian Stump, James Davis, and Stewart Compton. Honorary Pallbearers will be Will Pickard, Chris Luebbers, and Bill Davenport.
