Richard Switzer

Richard Edward Switzer Services for Richard Edward Ed Switzer will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church with the Rev. Frank Cosgrove officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Switzer, 79, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008, at Infinity Hospice in Meridian. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and served in the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Switzer of Meridian; daughters, Sherry Hatcher and her husband, Danny, of Bailey and Cathy Stockton and her husband, Russell, of LaVergne, Tenn.; a son, Richard E. Switzer Jr. and his wife, Jan, of Irving, Texas; grandchildren, David Hatcher, Ben Hatcher, Kimberly Stockton, Melissa Mounts, Stacia Newell, Richard E. Switzer III and six great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Ruby Brown and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William E. and Isobelle Switzer.
