Services for Mr. Robert Dennis Bowers will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Webb Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Lucy Powell officiating. Interment will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Bowers, age 67, of Meridian passed away Sunday, October 17, 2010 at Specialty Hospital in Meridian, MS. He was a graduate of Upper Merion High School. He was also a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and United States Naval Submarine School. He served in the Navy and was a Disabled American Veteran DAV and also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars VFW, while in the Navy he served aboard the U.S.S. Loftberg 759. He was also a member of Northcrest Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lula Marie Bowers Four daughter, Renee Davis and Kim Copeland of Knoxville, TN, and Linda Jackson and Lesia Scruggs of Meridian, MS One son, Ray Don Cook Jr. and seven granddaughters and one grandson.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 from 5 7 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home.
