Services for Mr. Robert B. Rivers Sr. will be held on Friday, October 28, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Webb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Weir and Rev. Lamar Lifer officiating. Interment will be at Magnolia Cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Rivers, age 89, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2011 at Rush Hospital in Meridian. Mr. Rivers was retired from the City of Meridian Water Department. He was a Veteran of WWII while serving in the United States Army.

He is survived by his Son, Robert B. Rivers Jr. and his wife, Noretta by his Grandchildren, Candy Powell, Mandy Rivers, Leeann Rivers, Christopher Rivers, Haley, Ellen, and Katie by his special Grandchildren, Josh, Faith, and Landon and by his nieces, Sandra Mae Saunders Sibley and Faye Saunders Morgan.

Visitation will be on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Webb Funeral Home from 5 7 PM.

He was preceded in death by his Wife, Eva Erscelle Rivers his parents, James and Clara Belle Rivers and one sister, Lula Mae Saunders.
