Mr. Robert Lee Bob Thomas

Funeral services for Mr. Robert Lee Bob Thomas will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Webb Funeral Home Chapel with Jim Wall officiating. Interment will be held in Magnolia Cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Thomas, age 78, of Meridian, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was retired from Mississippi Power Company after working for 38 years. Mr. Thomas attended Michigan State University until he joined the Navy, playing football for both. He was a Scout Master for 30 years. He was also a Master Mason and Shriner and a member of Central United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Betty Overby Thomas Sons, Robert E. Thomas and his wife Kathy, Kirk R. Thomas and his wife Doris, and Steve Thomas and his wife Brooke by his Grandchildren, Heather Brock and her husband Ken, Jonathan R. Thomas and his wife Sarah, Lauren Enlow and her husband Shannon, Anthony D. Thomas, Matthew W. Thomas, Mason Thomas, Keyton Thomas, Crystal McAllister, and Thompson McAllister Five Great Grandchildren and Special Friends, Mark Earnest and Lula Rhone.

He was preceded by his Parents, Orville Royal Thomas and Helen Riffle Thomas.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 1, 2012 at Webb Funeral Home from 5 7pm.

Pallbearers will be Ken Brock, Jonathan Thomas, Shannon Enlow, Anthony Thomas, Matthew Thomas, Mason Thomas, Keyton Thomas, and Thompson McAllister.

Honorary Pallbearers are to be employees of Mississippi Power, Boy Scouts of America, and Mark Earnest.

In lieu of flowers family and friends can make donations to Central United Methodist Church or Boy Scouts of America.
