Mr. Robert W. Emmons

Services for Mr. Robert W. Emmons will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Grace Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Leon Ballard officiating. Interment will be held at Magnolia Cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Emmons, age 89, of Meridian, passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Infinity Hospice in Marion. Mr. Emmons, a native of Meridian, is a graduate of Meridian High School and the University of Mississippi. He is a veteran of the United States Army and former coowner of Troy Laundry and Cleaners and Troy Industrial Uniforms.

He is survived by his son, Woodson Emmons and his wife Pace Cooke Emmons his granddaughter, Robin Emmons his sister, Sara Emmons all of Meridian his brothers, William Emmons, Mack Emmons, both of Meridian, Rome Emmons of Hattiesburg, MS and Flynt Emmons of Conroe, TX.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Forde Emmons his daughter, Sarah Wyse Emmons his parents Rome and Nita Emmons Sisters, Jane Emmons, Anita Emmons Covington, Fay Emmons Downey and Elsie Emmons Johansen and his brothers, Francis Emmons and Rufus Emmons.

Pallbearers will be Gerald Bubba Hannah, Dr. Jim Lauderdale, Robert Loeb, Fred Poitevent, Walter Rogers, and Dr. Lee Thornton.

Visitation will be held at Grace Fellowship Baptist Church on Saturday, July 21, 2012 from 9 10 a.m.
