Roger D. Hayes

Services for Roger D. Hayes will be held Saturday at 1 pm at Webb Chapel with Pastor Todd Tilghman officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Horeb Baptist Church Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hayes, 71, of Meridian, passed away Monday, July 27, 2015 at his home after a two year battle with lung cancer. He was a loving husband, father and Papaw. Roger served in the U. S. Army from 1966-68 and also worked for Mississippi Power Company for 38 years.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara Hayes; daughter, Suzy Preston and husband Marc; son, Mike Hayes and wife Kristen; three grandchildren, Taylor, Trevor, and Olivia; brothers, Alvin Hayes, Jr., and Ronnie Hayes and wife Judy; sisters, Carolyn Crawford and husband Frankie, Judy Swinney and husband Bob, and Tommie Ethridge and husband Randy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin G. Hayes, Sr. and Margaret Hayes.
