A celebration of life for Mr. Ronnie "Cowboy" Jackson Hatcher will be held Friday August 10, 2018 at 9:30 am at McGowan's Chapel in Quitman, MS. The Interment will be held at the Veterans
Memorial Cemetery at 1pm with Stephens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Ronnie "Cowboy" Jackson Hatcher, 65, of Waynesboro and a native of Meridian passed away Tuesday August 7, 2018 at his old home place.
Mr. Hatcher was born May 17, 1953 in Meridian, MS. He graduated from Clarkdale High School in 1971. He was a proud Veteran of the Marines and the Mississippi National Guard.
He was employed by Miller Transportation, later becoming a Cross Country truck driver where he became a legend for having an article published about his life in the trucker's magazine
and retired from logging in Waynesboro, MS. He was a devoted Christian and loved his Lord, a loving father, brother, uncle and friend to so many.
He is survived by Son, Jackson Hatcher (Saresa Pearce); Daughters, Shelby Swanner, Ashley Kilpatrick, and Memory Hatcher; Sisters Vickie Stewart (Ricky Stewart Sr.) and Barbara "Sis" Thomas; Sister in law, Jenell Jacobs; Special mother, Minnie Lee Stewart; Stepchildren, Laura Jackson, Michael Herring and Daniel Herring; Nieces Mitzy Earnhart (Clint), Penny Lewis (Phil), Cindy Rebillard (James); Nephews, Ricky Stewart Jr. (Rachelle)
and Rufus Stewart (Kristy); Step grandchildren, Austin, Olivia and Cleveland, numerous special nieces, nephews and grandchildren; best friend Author Lee Sturdivant; his dog, Deogi, his best friend and service dog of 14 years as well as a host of friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Mr. Printess Jackson and CoraDell Hatcher, brothers, Roy Jacobs, John Jacobs and Jessie Jacobs.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the National Veteran Foundation and the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation.
