Graveside services for Roy G. Mitchell will be held Monday, March 19, 2018 at 11:00am at Mississippi State Veterans Cemetery in Newton. James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Mitchell, 76, died March 14, 2018. He was a retired Chief Petty Officer for the United States Navy. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather and enjoyed hunting.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Mitchell; daughter, Susan Mendoza; grandsons, Cory Barnes and Joe Hood; granddaughters, Sara Rolen and Kristy Williams.
He is survived by his children: Mary (Leonard Jr.) Joiner; Charles (Deborah) Mitchell; Bobbie Jean Garner and Karen Luke; grandchildren: Brittany Barnes, Samantha Mitchell, Frankie Williams, Ginger Williams, Marina Williams, Crystal (J.T.) Adams, Maegan (John) Kell, Racheal (Chris) Sheffield, Shelly and Kelly Luke, Leonard Joiner, III, Katie joiner and Brianna Joiner; 27 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, March 19, 2018 from 8:30 to 10:00am at James F. Webb Funeral Home.
