Graveside services for Mrs. Ruby Pace will be held Thursday at 1pm at the MS Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton. Rev. Gary Morris will be officiating. Webb & Stephens Funeral Home – North is honored to be in care of the arrangements.
Mrs. Pace, 79, of Collinsville, passed away at Anderson Regional Medical Center on Saturday.
She was a retired hairdresser, a job that she thoroughly loved during her career. Mrs. Pace loved her horses and her cats, or just about anything with four legs. She enjoyed working with her flowers, but her true love was her family.
She was a member of Bethel Methodist Church, where she was very active until she could not attend due to her health.
She is survived by her sons Terry Pace (Dawn), Ray Pace (Debi); daughter Michelle Dickson; grandchildren Hannah Ballew (Tommy), Drew Pace (Amanda), Brandi Rutledge (Josh), Haylee Hagwood (Tyler), Tres Dobbins, Wayne Pace, Brock Busbea (Renae), Clarke Dickson and Blair Dickson. Mrs. Pace is also survived by great-grandchildren Jamie Pace, Charlotte Pace, Ruby Ballew, Aiden Haehll, Adalynn Luebbers, Nora Grace Rutledge, Wil Ryan Hagwood, Adrian Dickson, Blaze Busbea; sister Rita Weir (Willie Ray); brother Jimmy Creekmore; brother-in-law Harold Pace (Mary) and sister in laws Val Weathers (Jimmy) and Pat Colwick (John).
She was preceded in death by her parents Jessie Breland Creekmore and Opal Jones Creekmore, husband Walter Ray Pace and son Gary Pace.
