Graveside Services for Mrs. Ruby Edith Long Shirley will be held Sunday at 11am at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jessie Napp and Dr. Hack McMullen officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Shirley, 92, of Meridian, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2012 at her residence. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church for 75 years.

She is survived by her daughters, Ruby Earnestine Stanley of Snell and Peggy Joy Bolen and her husband Paul, of Meridian her sons, Perry Wayne Shirley and his wife Sherry of Snell, and Stanley Ray Shirley and his wife Wanda of Quitman son in law, Robert Verdell Luke of Snell 10 grandchildren 21 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild brother, Lavern Long of Bessemer, Alabama sisters, Mildred Hill of Bessemer and Carolyn Shurley of Meridian and special friend Dot Crane.

She is preceded in death by her husband, E.A. Shirley parents, Joe and Ruby Long daughter, Kathy Luke brothers, Ray and James Long sisters, Easter Mae Tate and Clara Reynolds and grandchildren, Robert and Tina Michelle Luke.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family requests that memorials be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
