Mrs. Ruth Beemon Williamson, 106, of Little Rock, MS, passed away in the early morning hours of Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at J G Alexander Nursing Center of Union.
Ruth was born to Thad I. Beemon and Naomi Ruth (Williamson) Beemon on July 27, 1918, at their home in Little Rock. She was a 1937 graduate of Beulah Hubbard High School in Little Rock. On November 25, 1937, Ruth married the love of her life, Earlie Williamson.
Ruth is survived by two nephews, Stan Burton (Sherri) and Tim Burton (Joyce); eight first cousins, Joyce Rainer, Mary Earle Eleuterius, George Beemon, James M. Harrison, Judy Pinson, Mark Rainer, Tommy Beemon, and Barbara J. Harrison; along with numerous other cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thad I. and Naomi R. Beemon; her husband of 69 years, Earlie Edgar Williamson; an infant son, Jerry Williamson (August 30, 1944); brother and sister-in-law, Thara and Emma Beemon; and a nephew, Randy Burton.
Visitation for Ruth will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024, from 10-11am at Hopewell Baptist Church of Little Rock, MS. Graveside services will follow, beginning at 11am, with Bro. Andrew Black and Robert Smith officiating the service, with music by Kristal Burton.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Stan Burton, Tim Burton, Doyle Rainer, Robert Smith, Ricky Sheehan, and Doyle White.
The family would like to thank the staff of River Birch Estate Personal Care Assisted Living of Union, Bedford Care Centers of Newton and Marion, and J G Alexander Nursing Center for their loving care for Ruth during her stays with them.
