Sadie L. Warren

De Kalb

     Sadie L. Warren, 100 years young of De Kalb, passed away peacefully at her home on June 7, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones.

     Sadie was born to Henry James and Ruthie “Leona” (Poole) Page in Kemper County on July 15, 1923.  She was a loving wife, mother, and had a true servant’s heart, always lending a helping hand when needed.  She was a fantastic cook and was famous for her chicken pot pie and banana pudding.

     Sadie is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Warren and Shirley M. Warren; and her many nieces and nephews that she loved and cared for as her grandchildren.

     She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J. R. Warren; an infant son; brothers, R. V. “Bud” Page, Henry W. Page, R. C. “Dot” Page, and Billy Leon Page; and her sister, Zelda Mae Jones.

     The family will have a graveside service on Saturday, June 15, 2024, beginning at 11:00 am at the Rush Cemetery in Kemper County.  All family and friends are invited to come show their love for and share their memories of Sadie. 

     In lieu of flowers, the family requests for donations to be made in Sadie’s honor to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org or to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org.  

     The staff of Webb & Stephens Funeral Homes-De Kalb is grateful for the opportunity to honor Sadie’s long life and to serve her family during this time.
