Mr. Sam (as he was known) was 90 years young. He was born in Electric Mills, MS on September 16, 1927 to Harvey and Jimmie Hudnall. At an early age he opened a grocery store in West Point. In 1958 he moved to Meridian and opened Hudnall Food Stores. He was devoted to Crimestoppers and was one of the founding members. He was very active in the city and county government affairs, always willing to pitch in to help wherever he could. He was a loving family man, always telling his kids and grandchildren " I love you".
He is survived by his Daughters, Sarah Lee (Jimmie) and Judy Thornton (Dan); Daughter in law, Dianne Hudnall; Grandchildren, Paige Mimms, Jennifer Hopkins, Katie Murphy (John), Clancy Willis (Marcus), Holly Whitehead (Blaine), and Brooke Knight (Justin); Great Grandchildren, 8 boys and 2 girls.
Preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Inez Hudnall; Son, Wally Hudnall; and Grandson, Lance Haguewood.
To honor our fathers request there will be no public visitation or service. A private family graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in West Point, MS.
Mr. Sam asked that any memorials in his honor be made to the church of your choice.
