Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Frances Dean Hill will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, May 23rd at Northcrest Baptist Church. Rev. Wade Phillips will be officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hill, 73, of Meridian, passed away Saturday at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
She was a graduate of Mississippi State University and a retired educator who taught in Florida and in the Meridian School District. She also served as a swim coach assistant. After her time in the classroom, she became a licensed realtor in Florida. She was a member of Northcrest Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Orlando.
During her life she touched so many in and out of the classroom. She was known to many as MaMaw. She was known as a friend to many offering counseling, advice and correcting. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild were her life. Mrs. Hill was also known for teaching God's word.
She is survived by her daughters Kim Hill Robbins (John), Karen Hill Dulaney (Randy), Angela Hill Skelton (Allen); grandchildren Emily Dulaney, Claire Dulaney Williams (Kyle), Justin Skelton (Lauren Williams), Luke Robbins, Connor Skelton (Hannah) and Levi Robbins.
Mrs. Hill is also survived by her great grandchildren Forrest Ransom Baker and Anne Frances Williams who will be born in September; two special children that were dear to her heart Wess and Paityn Vaughn; sisters Pat Gray, Rosalie Robinson Jones, Betty Lou Burnside; brothers George Walter Dean (Kathy), Clayton Benjamin Dean Jr. (Pam); brother in law Bill Simcox; mother in law Louise Thomas; nieces and nephews Mark Gray, Sarah Simcox Maus, Richelle Gray, Sharon Gray Howard, George Dean Jr., Lisa Dean Lennox, Billy Simcox, Melissa Dean, Amber Simcox Carlisle, Matthew Dean, Scott Dean, Trent Dean and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and children in Mississippi and Florida who held a special place in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents Clayton and Gean Dean; husband Gary Hill; siblings Marilyn Dean Simcox, Albert Dean, Lillie Mae Wright, Billy Dean, Katherine Zingelman, Charles Dean, Brian Dean and brother in law Richard T. Gray.
Pallbearers will be Justin Skelton, Luke Robbins, Connor Skelton, Levi Robbins, Kyle Williams, Matthew Dean, Matt Garrett and Hunter Howard.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6pm to 8pm at the funeral home.
