Steve Peeples

Funeral services for Mr. Steve Peeples will be held Thursday at 11 am at Barham Funeral Home Forest Lawn Chapel. Rev. Corey Fontan will be officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at 1pm at the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton.
Mr. Peeples, 68, of Bailey, passed away at his residence on Sunday.
Mr. Peeples served his country as an Airborne Ranger in the U.S. Army, being a career soldier more than 21 years. He was also a Vietnam Veteran. After his retirement from the Army, Mr. Peeples worked as a flight simulator technician with the Boeing Corp. This employment transferred him and his family to South Dakota and then Meridian in 1990 when the flight simulator was installed at Key Field. He later retired from Boeing.
Mr. Peeples is survived by his daughter Tristane Aanerud (Dick); son Christopher Omelas; sister Joelyne Bellew (Donnie); brother Randy Peeples (Sheila); sister in laws Victoria Wilson, Debra Alcantar; nephews Jerimiah Alcantar, Clint Bellew and Daniel Bellew.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jodi and Muriel Peeples; wife Pamela Peeples and mother in law Pamela Wilson.
Visitation will on Thursday from 10 am until service time at the funeral home.
