Susan Elaine Ware

A graveside service for Mrs. Susan Elaine Ware will be held Saturday, July 29, 2023, 12:30 p.m. at Springhill United Methodist Church Cemetery with Bro. Paul Raley officiating. Webb & Stephens Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Mrs. Ware, 60, of Meridian, passed away Monday, July 24, 2023, at Ochsner Rush Hospital.

Susan worked for Rolls-Royce at NAS Meridian, a job that she deeply enjoyed. She also was known to keep others in line and frequently was heard quoting “I do this thing; it’s called what I want”. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She was most known for being a devoted wife, and loving mother, nana, and sister.

She is survived by her children, James Anthony “Tony” Ware (Amanda) and Lindsey Ware Forman (Daniel); grandchildren, Avery Forman, Kennalyn Ware, and Hani Ware; sisters, Cheryl Huey and Gladys Dover (Glen); and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Harold “Jr.” Ware; parents, Robert and Delores Rutledge; and brother, Paul Rutledge.

Pallbearers will include Dockery Cates, Josh Rutledge, Anthony Lawson, Glen Huey, Kyle McRee, and Braxton Boswell. Honorary Pallbearers will include Gary Davis, Tom Dupont, and P.J. “Jack” Byrne.

Visitation will Saturday from 9:00-11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
