Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Edwin “Tommy” Clay will be held Friday at 2pm in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home of DeKalb. Rev. Chris Gully will be officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarlawn Cemetery in Scooba.
On February 15,2020 he passed away peacefully with family by his side at Anderson’s Hospital. Tommy was 46 years old. He was born to David and Linda Clay October 9,1973 in Meridian, MS. Tommy will always be remembered as a kind hearted man who never spoke out of anger. During high school he excelled in baseball and football and was known for helping anyone that needed help. He loved spending time with his family especially his nephews. Tommy loved Christmas and always had the best gifts to give, making sure that the children were happy. He was an equipment operator in the construction field.
Tommy is survived by two sisters, Kasey Watkins (Scott), Kristy Gillis (Robert), one brother, Tyson Clay (Beverly), four nephews Braxton Stokes, Riley Watkins, Burket Gillis, Brody Clay, one uncle Bill Bryan and his family. Tommy resided in Winston County in the Nanih Wayia community of Louisville, MS. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents David and Linda and niece Sara Beth Gillis.
Our family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers at this time.
Visitation will be from 12 pm to 2 pm at the funeral home the day of the service.
