Velma Dooley Fleming
Services for Mrs. Velma Dooley Fleming will be held Saturday at 1:00 pm at Webb Chapel with Rev. Josh McCrary officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Fleming, 93, of Meridian, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at her residence. She was a member of the Meridian Church of Christ. She was a member of Grover Burnett Chapter 352 Order of the Eastern Star and the Forget Me Not Garden Club. She was a flower show judge, a horticulturist, and worked as a flower show designer in many florist shops. She had many other careers in her 93 years and was loved by many.
She is survived by her son, Joseph Charles Dooley, Sr. grandchildren, Regina Rolison and fiance Jimmy Tucker, Kim Williams and husband Terry, and Chuck Dooley and his wife Tracey great grandchildren, Brian and Elena Miller, Lacy and Charles Nause, Meggan and J. Paul Everett, Colby Shumate and fiance Breanna Lee, Colton Dooley and fiance Jennifer Leonard, Chase Dooley, and Trey Dooley 5 great great grandchildren her brother, Arthur C. Sharpe and wife Wanda Stuart Sharpe and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Columbus Sharp and Amanda Bates Sharp brothers, Willie Jim Sharp and wife Pollie, Curtis Sharp, Claude Sharp and wife Mildred, and Lonnie Sharp sisters, Sadie J. Posey and husband Cecil, and Lovie Moore and husband Ed.
Pallbearers will be Brian Miller, Chuck Dooley, Chase Dooley, Colton Dooley, Terry Williams, Colby Shumate, and J. Paul Everett.
