Graveside services for Mrs. Verdie Lee Stallings Starnes will be held Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Meridian Memorial Park with the Rev. Mike May officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Verdie Lee was born February 1, 1915 in Ward, Alabama. She went home to be with the Lord on March 5, 2010 while living in Fort Worth, Texas.

She is survived by her son and daughter inlaw, Robert and Marilyn Starnes of Fort Worth, TX grandchildren: Jeff Starnes and wife, Shaira of Dallas, TX, and Michelle Eichler and husband, Milt of Magnolia, TX. greatgrandchildren: Kelton, Cason, Cambelle, Karis and Kinsley Starnes of Dallas, TX Morgan and Mason Eichler of Magnolia, TX. brothers and sisters: William Stallings and wife, Eula Mae of Cuba, AL Velma Stallings Myrtle Stallings Ruth May Joe Stallings and wife, Sue of Meridian, MS nephew and nieces: Mike May of Brandon, MS Gina Hamburg of Houston, TX Teresa Nester of Meridian, MS and their families.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, John L. Starnes.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 10, 2010 from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
