Vernon Todd

Funeral services for Mr. Vernon E. Todd will be held Wednesday at 1pm in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home. Rev. Duane Moss will be officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge UMC Cemetery in Collinsville.
Mr. Todd, 74, of Meridian, passed away Thursday at Specialty Hospital of Meridian.
He was a retired roofer by trade and will be remembered by his family and friends as a loving and giving man who was always a hard worker and carried himself with dignity. He loved the outdoors which included hunting and fishing. Mr. Todd also served his country in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Todd is survived by his son Dewayne Todd (Lori Muse); daughter Brandy Edwards; sister Joyce Faucette (Billy); grandchildren Brian Todd, Bobby Todd, Amber Todd "Monkey" Glover, Shiahlyn "Pee Wee" Edwards; great-grandchildren Brian Todd Jr., Bridget Todd and Jayden Glover.
He is also survived by nephews Marlon Lacaze, William Faucette, Michael Todd; nieces Suzie Todd Davis, Shannon Coleman and sister in law Judy Todd.
He was preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Claudia Todd; wife Debby Jean Todd and brothers W.L. Todd, Mitchell Todd and Bobby Todd.
Pallbearers will be Jessie Hearn, Marlon Lacaze, Allen Edwards, Gary Stewart, Jimmy Williams and Tracy Waddell. Marvin Floyd will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm the day of the service.
