Vester Reid Jr.

Graveside services for Mr. Vester “Buddy” Reid will be held Wednesday at 12:30 pm at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church cemetery located at 308 Fort Stephens Road, Bailey, MS. Bro. Tommy Miller will be officiating. Stephens Funeral Home of Meridian is entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Reid, 83, of Lauderdale, passed away May 15th at Diversacare Nursing Center in Meridian.

He was retired as a carpenter, expert cabinet maker and machinist.

Mr. Reid is survived by his siblings Nita Massey, Ronnie Reid (Debbie) and Bill Reid (JJ).

He was preceded in death by his parents Vester and Grace Reid; wife Sue Nichols Reid; son Michael Reid; sisters Louise Perry and Faye Palmer. Mr. Reid also was preceded in death by his puppy and constant companion “Little Girl”.

Pallbearers will be Steve Bolen, Ron Reid, Jason Reid, Elijah Reid, Donnie Massey and Mickey Davis.

Visitation will be held at Stephens Funeral Home from 11am to 12 pm the day of the service.
